Introduction
I have been thrilled over the past year to develop friendships with like minded photographers. My primary focus in photography is portraiture. I am here to share and to learn.
Are you a Professional, Semi-Pro, Amateur, or Beginning photographer?
This year I hope to continue my photographic journey from conscious incompetence into the next phase of development (conscious competence). I am expanding and honing my skills with off-camera lighting and improving my rapport with my subjects.
What are you looking to contribute and or learn from the group?
I chose to become an organizer because I like to be part of the machinations of a group and not just a participant. I sometimes get as much or more enjoyment from playing the role of host, than from the outings themselves.
How many years shooting (All mediums - film, and digital)?
I have wanted to shoot photography all my life, but got my first DSLR about four years ago.
What is your favorite type of shooting (Landscapes, Macro, People, Events, Family...etc)?
I love taking portraits. One of my goals as an organizer is to explore opportunities to use photography to contribute to our community. I see this group as more than a photography group but as a part of the greater Salem-Kaiser community.
