Introduction
I am an Oregon National Guard Soldier with a passion for photography. I am trying to move from casual photography to amateur photographer and trying to learn the buisness so I can pursue a post retirement career in about 5 years.
Are you a Professional, Semi-Pro, Amateur, or Beginning photographer?
I would say I am an upper level beginner to a lower level amateur, transitioning from P&S digital to Digital SLR.
What are you looking to contribute and or learn from the group?
Interested in learning different off camera lighting techniques, working with models to be able to take pertraits and hoping to be able to take my quality to some good pictures to lots of good pictures
How many years shooting (All mediums - film, and digital)?
P&S film about 20 years, SLR Film 1 year, Digital P&S 10 yers and digital SLR 3 months.
What is your favorite type of shooting (Landscapes, Macro, People, Events, Family...etc)?
I enjoy landscapes and people, but want to expand my skills to improve my people pictures and work more on portraits instead of candids.
